Step One: Shift Everything Away
When it comes to clean a vanity set, the first step is to shift everything away, so that the surface of the vanity table can be cleaned thoroughly. Bring down all the bottles, vials, pins and the rest on to the floor carefully, because various glass vials of perfume or nail paint remover or anything else is fragile. And at this point, keeping little children away from the place for preventing them getting hurt if something does break.
Step Two: Clean the Surface
Dust the surface of the vanity table with a clean cloth, you can also use a little bit of mild detergent —if it wouldn't harm the wood. Then clean the mirror and mirror frame with a cloth. If the mirror still has any dusts, it is better to use newspaper with liquid cleaner that in spray bottles.
Step Three: Classify Items
Now the surface and the mirror are clean, you can turn your attention to the various things that were on top of your dressing table. Classify all of your items into several groups and put them in their appropriate locations. The first group comprises of all your makeup items—from bobby pins, to nail polish, lipsticks, lotions and so on. The next group contains all your jewelry articles like necklaces, earrings, rings and all others. The third group will be made up of anything and everything that doesn't belong to the vanity table—ball point pen, television remote, mobile phone, etc. Be sure to return them to the right place. The last group includes things that should be in the garbage can! For example, the cotton you cleaned your face with at night, strands of hair that left after combing. It is better to thrown away as quickly as possible.
Step Four: Back To The Places
Now is the time to put back everything in place in a systematic manner. Put the jewelry into its box and all the makeup items in order—the smallest bottles or vials in the front and the largest or tallest ones at the back and so on.
After cleaning, your vanity set will look neat, and everything in it will be easily accessible to you.
